20/10/2007 - Electric Kitchen @ Cuba (Lancaster)

Another good night down at the Kitchen this week with numbers on the up again!

By far and away the stand out element was the club performers from Untouched. Simon and Nick treated us to a night full of springy stilt walking, fire breathing, fire eating, body burning, angle grinding, freestyle dancing and general tomfoolery which went down extremely well with the Lancaster clubbers! The boys will definitely back next month on regular basis!

In the box Craig Downham and Craig Kirkby played solid sets bringing with them fresh new digital beats! Mr Donning finished the night with his own brand of minimal wonkyness! Big thanks to everyone who came down, see ya'll next week! - By Sy Lyon (WBTH?)

14/07/2007 - Electric Kitchen @ The Empire (Barrow)

What can I say..what a night! The Empire was packed out and was as close to being full as it's ever been! The promo must have definately done it's job as there were a lot of new faces all ravin and misbehavin!

Things were brought to the boil and left simmering by yours truly then The Media Monkeys were the perfect ingredient and certainly left a good taste in people mouths! The visuals went down a treat and even I had a little go at dishing them out! For dessert Lee Wash and Craig Kirkby brought a top back 2 back set to the table and everyone lapped it up!

The night has definitely given us a new found confidence in the venue and the support on the night suggests it is now ready for a bigger named DJ to be brought the equation! Keep an eye out for the next event coming soon... By Sy Lyon (WBTH?)

01/07/2007 - Charity Night @ The Nines

As promised the Charity Night in aid of Huntington's Disease at the Nines in Barrow on Sunday was a fantastic night of entertainment, good job seeing as though it was a sell out! (There were a good 300-400 in there)

It was Barrow's own Gobstopper though that stole the night. I'd had a few JD's by then but I do remember everyone going mental to Crazy Horses and yelling "Neh, Neh" upon instruction, and the YMCA spread right across the room and up to the balcony! (You had to be there...:)

Midge followed with hits from the Scissor Sisters, James and Take That! (Should've seen my face when the intro to Only Takes A Minute began! "Dn dn d dn, dn dn d dn, de de de...) That was it, I was up! Dancing on my own for a while, then I spotted my mum getting her groove on and joined her!! So Midge if you read this YOU made my night! ;)

By the time I went on at 12.30 most peeps had either gone home or were collapsed in the booths! But everyone that was left were all very drunk and very much dancing, so thank you to all that stayed for me, Bless Ya'll!

The Line up included: Steve Silver, John Gordon, Neil McLoughlin, Mike Macaulay, Gobstopper, Midge, Kev T and myself (Lisa Hart).

Special thanks to: Gill Wheeler (The Knights) For organising the whole event, Phil Turner the sound engineer for sticking around to make me sound good, Mike MaCaulay for Comparing and DJ-ing all night as well as performing...

Gill promises there will be another Charity Night in the New Year so if you are interested in performing, DJ-ing, Comparing etc, send me an email here and I will pass on your details.. By Lisa Hart
